Pro-Knox
Pro-knox is a unique, purely natural antioxidant.
Pro-knox is a low molecular weight compound of antioxidants extracted from different types of plants rich in vitamins A, C, E, beta-carotene, quercetin, riboflavin, polyphenols, tannin, flavonoids, glutathion, catalase and Superoxid dismutase (S.O.D.). This gives Pro-knox’s modified antioxidants extra power.

The final compound of Pro-knox is obtained through a low heat process, which utilizes far-infrared rays to extract the active, low molecular weight antioxidant. The final compound becomes a powder, packaged in sachets. The powder preserves the sensitive enzymes, which would be destroyed if compression was used to produce tablets.

What are Free Radicals?
It is ironic that oxygen, an element indispensable for life can, under certain situations, have severely deleterious effects on the human body. Most of the potentially harmful effects of oxygen are due to the formation and activity of a number of chemical compounds, known as reactive oxygen species (ROS). Many such reactive species are free radicals.
In other words, free radicals are created as part of the process of normal biological functions. However, they can also be funded by stress, poor diet and the consumption of toxins
From scientific point of view, free radicals are atoms with unpaired electron. When cells in the body encounter a free radical, the reactive radical may cause destruction in the cell. According to the free radical theory of aging, cells continuously produce free radicals, and constant radical damage eventually kills the cell. When radicals kill or damage enough cells in an organism, the organism ages.
What are Antioxidants?
The human body has several mechanisms to counteract damage by free radicals and other reactive oxygen species
One line of defense against free radical damage is the presence of antioxidants. The balance between the production of free radicals and antioxidants in the body has important health implications. If there are too many free radicals produced and too few antioxidants, a condition of “oxidative stress” develops which may cause chronic damage.
An antioxidant is a molecule stable enough to donate an electron to a rampaging free radical and neutralize it, thus reducing its capacity to damage.
Some antioxidants are produced during normal metabolism in the body. Other lighter antioxidants are found in the diet.
Free radicals have been implicated in several health problems. Cancer, atherosclerosis, cerebrovascular accidents, myocardial infarction, senile cataracts, acute respiratory distress syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis are just a few examples. Numerous studies have shown the protective effects of antioxidant nutrients on these health problems.
